15 week update

We had our second doctor's appointment today, and we're delighted to announce that the baby is doing just fine! We heard the cute little heartbeat again! I've gained about 8 lbs so far. I'm not anemic, which is great! That was miserable last summer. I'm also amazingly immune to chicken pox, so Mom...I guess that red dot on my toe really was chicken pox that you were wondering about when I was just a little girl! On April 30th, (Happy Birthday Shantae) we are going in for our ultra sound. I can't wait to find out what this baby is! or babies...haha, yeah right. Baby is about the size of a navel orange! It's getting bigger every single day. I also found out I have A+ blood (probably because I'm a teacher). Okay, I already knew my blood type, because I'm an avid blood donor, or at least was, before I became pregnant.

On Saturday i was shopping with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law when all the sudden I felt a really REALLY sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It hurt sooooo bad and lasted for about 5 seconds. Well, it scared the heck out of me, but my older, wiser sister Marci assured me that it's normal, so I was glad to go to the doctor's and see that everything was fine! It's nice to have others that have gone through this and can offer advice!

Also Cari, you can take the crib, because Marci found me a pack-n-play with a bassenette, so I'll use that. I might also have a crib at Jeremy's grandparents house, the one that he and his sister's used! We still need to dig it out and make sure it's still there!

Well, thanks for reading! We are so excited about the baby! You should see Jeremy's face light up when we hear the heart beat! What an amazing father he's going to be! I'm so lucky...i mean blessed, to have him in my life! And baby is so blessed too!

I am glad Jeremy was able to hear the heart beat. I always loved that part of hearing it for the first time. It is also so neat to feel the baby move inside of you. not to long now Amy. Have you felt any movement yet? Exciting times.

Do you get weekly emails from babycenter.com? I loved getting those while pregnant to see how the baby was changing and lots of other info. Glad all is going well!
