Jer and I went camping at Strawberry Reservoir this weekend. It was a lot of fun, except pretty cold! I didn't think I would get cold, seeing how I've been SOOOO hot this summer, so I didn't really prepare and pack warm clothes. Oh well, it was still a lot of fun! We took the boat out Saturday morning (early), came back in around 2:00pm and never made it back out on the boat because it was too windy. Instead we went crawdad hunting! We caught 14, but two escaped from the trap, so we took 12 back with us and cooked them up!
Here was the fish we took back to camp! It was delicious!

There is Jeremy with a crawdad! They were so fun to catch. We really only caught 2 or 3 with the trap! The rest of them we stuck a piece of a hotdog on a hook with fishing line and we'd throw it out there in front of the crawdad. They would grab it, and then you pull them in because they wouldn't let go. It was so much fun!

When I was in Mr. Schweiders math class at IF he told us that he loved crawdads and sucking the juice out of their heads for a good flavor. So he took us to the kitchen at IF and showed us how to do it. Some tried and some didn't. I didn't. I just remeber doing that although i don't know what it has to do with math class.

Cari, that is disgusting. What do crawdads taste like? They look gross but are fun to catch. We have done that with the kids at the docks in Strawberry. The kids could do it for hours and the crawdads don't seem to get full.
